Why use video for your business?

As of January 2022, 92% of marketers who use video say it’s an important part of their marketing strategy, 86% of businesses use video as a marketing tool, 86% of marketers say video has been effective for generating leads and 81% say its had a positive impact on sales. (source: Wyzowl’s State of Video Marketing Survey). So why should you use videos in your business?

Videos are easier and often pleasurable to consume compared to text. They can explain better, by combining moving images with sound. Production and delivery is easy with fast internet and cheap cameras.

Long gone are the days of the ‘cover everything’ corporate video. Today, videos can be taylored to different market niches, different stages of the sales funnel, or even personalised for individuals.  Viewers want to see you’re authentic and don’t need the special effects.  Most of all, video should be an integral part of your marketing strategy.

This video (below) whilst a few years old now, does explain well how video can give you an competitive edge.  Video is more engaging, attracts more interest and is remembered better than a basic website with text and images.

Exposing your audience to your message (views) is a key metric which needs to come before any sales will be made.
